Abstract/Description

•This project is designed to provide information to help reduce the occurrence of central line infections. On an oncology unit, nurses work with many patients each day who have a central line, therefore it is immensely important that every precaution is being taken to prevent an infection from occurring. These infections may occur from prolonged catheter insertion as well as improper dressings being used on the patients. By providing the proper education and training to nurses, there should be a reduction in the central line infection rate.
