Abstract/Description

This presentation's purpose is to illustrate some of the effects that the media has on sports and the games themselves. I will use a few different media theories to explain how the media frames certain things and makes fans focus on the things that they want them to focus on. I will also focus on a few examples, as well as the role that the media played while the world was on lockdown in 2020 as a result of COVID-19. The media has a much bigger effect on people's viewing experience of sports than they realize, and that is what I will be trying to make people realize with this piece.
