Abstract/Description
Healthcare is a field of study that is constantly changing and growing. It is important that Healthcare Professionals are up-to-date on current illness so that they can accommodate all types of patients. The purposes of this study are as follows: to determine the knowledge of Healthcare Professionals on the disease, Birt-Hogg-Dube (BHD) syndrome, as well as to spread awareness to these professionals in their healthcare setting. Participants will be selected via a convenience sample that will evolve into a snowball effect. Participants, should they consent, will complete a 10-question survey assessing their current knowledge on BHD. Following their participation in the survey, they will be sent a presentation that will be the educational plan of action used in order to spread awareness.
