Abstract/Description

To what extent did policy making impact the early 2000s housing bubble and the crisis that ensued? The goal of this study is to research and analyze the competing schools of thought on this topic, namely, the debate between market-driven forces, monetary policy, and fiscal policy forces. This research is looking at what fiscal policies leading up to the burst impacted it, and how these policies influenced the outcome.
