Relationship Development Through the Use of Effective Communication in and Out of the Classroom
Abstract
Communication is of extreme importance between parents, teachers, and students, as well as staff within the school. In the midst of researching how communication affects students and teachers as a whole, it is noted that communication can intertwine with student success or failure. Positive learning outcomes can be achieved by carrying out positive communication between students and teachers. The importance of building relationships with your students and parents is vital to a child’s success. Specifically, the importance of communication is to involve engagement, the advantages of communication to the child, teacher, and parent, and how it will affect the student cognitively, socially, emotionally, and academically. Additionally, the damage that could potentially cause the student due to the lack of communication is addressed as well as how teachers and parents benefit from communication skills and training.
