Volume 8, Issue 1 (2021) Surviving COVID 2020
Surviving the Pandemic
Whew! What a year it has been for all our teachers, students, and parents! Everyone should be applauded for surviving, thriving, and continuing to teach and learn throughout this pandemic! This issue of the Kentucky Teacher Education Journal has information to help everyone to learn how our teachers survived Covid and found strategies to help students continue to learn as well. The first article, Preservice Teachers' Attitudes and Knowledge towards Assistive Technology: Exploring and In-Class Workshop Approach, is all about the AT experience, IDEA, and new teachers learning how to incorporate this service or tool into teaching practices. The second article, Inclusion, Engagement, and Nearpod: Providing a Digital Alternative to Traditional Instruction, is all about engaging students using the Nearpod tool. Nearpod is an interactive and engaging tool for students to use online. The third article, Growing Capacity in Gifted and Talented Education Through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), discusses the use of implementing STEAM in lesson plans to address the GT students. We hope you enjoy this issue of KTEJ. If you have and also find yourself wanting to publish with us, please feel free to submit your ideas! We are always accepting article proposals and interested writers.Research Articles
