Photography in the world of sports has played a huge role in the development of sports culture. Sports photography allowed for impressive moments in sports history to be documented and shared with the masses. Photography is also responsible for relatively consistent documentation for sports. My research paper aims to explore the astounding effect that sports photography has on the fans who consume it, the teams and athletes that are being documented, and the political environment in which these events are taking place in.
