Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) is a common problem throughout the Intensive Care Unit setting. This issue increases mortality rates and causes a further decline in the already critical patient. This presentation looks at protocols in hospitals, which should be consistently evaluated to ensure that the most recent procedure is up to date with current evidence based practice research.
