Abstract/Description

During this presentation, we will discuss therapeutic hypothermia as a treatment after cardiac arrest. Based on the research collected therapeutic hypothermia improves outcomes, decreases neurological damage and mortality after cardiac arrest has been experienced. Meta-analysis data will be examined to support the claim that controlled hypothermia can be used to decrease neurological damage and mortality after cardiac arrest.
